This is one of my favorite local restaurants that I absolutely love. Not only are the rolls delicious, but the sushi pizza is also one of my favorite menu items. The flavors are always fresh, and the quality never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I had the salmon sushi cake from Kimu, and it was absolutely incredible. It was my first time trying a sushi cake, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the flavor and the presentation. The salmon was exceptionally fresh, and the rice inside was seasoned just right. The mix of tamago, cucumber, oshinko, tobiko, crab meat, and avocado made every bite rich, balanced, and flavorful. Since I don’t like shiitake mushrooms, I asked them to leave it out, and they were happy to accommodate—such thoughtful service really enhanced the overall experience. The crispy seaweed on the side added a great texture and depth when wrapped around the sushi cake. Plus, the variety of sauces made it even more fun and delicious. I’ve tried a lot of Japanese food in Vancouver, but this was hands down the best. Highly recommended!

Kimu is a cozy spot that seems to be a Korean-run Japanese restaurant. Came here about 2 nights ago. The menu offers a wide variety of classic Japanese dishes, and while it's not a traditional Japanese establishment, it does a solid job with its offerings. The quality of the food is good—fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes that deliver on flavor. My favorite dishes would be the King Roll, which is packed with flavor huge and fun to eat, the crispy tempura, the hearty chicken ramen (which is the picture was already half devoured), and the fresh sashimi. The portions are generous, making it great value for the price. While it may not be the absolute best-tasting Japanese food in Vancouver, Kimu delivers what it’s supposed to—good food at an affordable price. I’d give it 5 stars because, while not exceptional, we all need a go-to spot that satisfies cravings without breaking the bank. It’s always perception versus reality right? Kimu is perfect for that—good value, generous portions, and a solid dining experience.

Cozy atmosphere, excellent service, reasonable prices and delicious food...!!- It was my first time visiting here, and it was amazing! The quality of the food was outstanding and the nice, friendly server kindly attended to my needs. As a sushi lover, I can confidently say this restaurant ranks in the top 3 sushi restaurants in Vancouver! Would come back here again

Cute little hole in the wall restaurant that has very sweet and attentive staff. We were feeling adventurous so we ordered the sushi pizza and sushi cake which was actually quite good, a must try for sure. Overall good food and good vibes.

The food hit the spot here. It was well presented and delicious! Will definitely be revisiting this gem again since it's close to my neighborhood.

We come here quite often but usually around 5:30 pm so there will be no wait for a table. My favourite to order are their salmon and unagi aburi. They have kids combo that comes with drink and ice cream as well as box set
